Outsourced receptionist

A receptionist who never
sleeps, quits or calls in sick

An outsourced receptionist that answers every call, qualifies the caller and books the job — all one hundred and sixty-eight hours of the week, for a fraction of what employing someone costs.

You would interview a receptionist before hiring one. Do the same here.

Where it actually helps

The gaps a single hire can't cover

One receptionist covers one call, during one shift, on the days they are in. Everything outside that — the second call arriving while they are on the first, the evening, the weekend, the week they are on holiday — goes to voicemail, and voicemail is where enquiries go to die.

This is not an argument for replacing a good receptionist. Most of our customers do not have one and were never going to afford one. It is an argument against the answering machine that is currently doing the job instead.

Built around your business

Tuned to the calls your trade actually gets

A plumbing emergency and a new dental patient are not the same call and should not be answered the same way.

FAQ

Outsourced receptionist questions

What is an outsourced receptionist?+

Someone outside your business answering your phone line — taking calls, handling questions, and booking appointments. Traditionally that meant a call centre taking messages. Ours answers, qualifies the caller and books the job to a finished outcome, around the clock.

How does the cost compare to hiring?+

A full-time receptionist in the US typically costs $3,000 or more a month once salary, payroll tax, benefits and cover are counted, and covers roughly forty hours a week. This covers all one hundred and sixty-eight hours from $995 a month, with a $249 tier for lower call volume.

Will my callers know it isn't a person?+

Some will and some won't, and in practice it matters far less than being answered. The honest test is the demo line — call it and judge for yourself before you decide anything.

Can it handle several calls at the same time?+

Yes, and that is one of the clearest differences. A person takes one call at a time and puts the rest on hold; this takes every call simultaneously, so nobody hears a busy signal on your busiest day.

What happens outside business hours?+

The same thing that happens during them. There is no night shift to staff and no answering machine, so a call at 2am is handled exactly like one at 2pm.

Do I lose control of how my phone is answered?+

No — you write the rules. The greeting, the questions, what counts as urgent, what gets booked and what gets escalated are all set during the build and can be changed afterwards.

How long until it's answering my line?+

Two to four business days. We build it around your business, test it, and then point your line at it.

Interview it before you decide

Call the demo line and put it through whatever you would ask a candidate. It answers at any hour.
